Job summary

The YMCA of the North Shore is hiring lifeguards and swim instructors to staff our pools across the North Shore this fall. Flexible part-time shifts and paid training help you stay active, learn, and serve the community. Not certified yet?

Qualifications

Minimum age 16 years.
Current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid, Oxygen Administration.
Willingness to obtain certifications before starting.
Calm, safety-focused presence with good teamwork and communication.
Availability for both weekday and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

Actively monitor swimmers and respond to emergencies to keep pools safe.
Create a welcoming, positive experience for members and program participants.
Teach swim lessons using the YMCA of the USA curriculum (for Swim Instructors).
Participate in paid training, ongoing education, and team development opportunities.
