Samost Jewish Family and Children's Service of Southern New Jersey is seeking an Early AM Lifeguard for the Katz JCC. The role involves supervising the pools and ensuring patron safety during the fall day shift hours from 4pm to 10pm.

Qualifications

• American Red Cross Life Guarding certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lifeguard the assigned pool/area.

• Maintain the pool and deck area at all times.
• Assist members with their safety and enjoyable visits.
• Complete accident reports in emergencies.
• Attend all mandatory trainings.

Job description

The Katz JCC Early AM Lifeguard provides supervision for the JCC pools and assures the safety of the patrons of the indoor/outdoor swimming pool and surrounding areas.

Fall Day Shift Hours: 4pm-10pm

Job Responsibilities

• Lifeguard the assigned pool/area
• Maintain proper records of pool chemicals
• Report any pool chemical changes to a supervisor
• Maintain the pool and deck area at all times (clean/safe)
• Assist the pool members in any way necessary to ensure both their safety and an enjoyable visit to the JCC pool
• In the event of an emergency, it may be necessary to fill out accident reports and pool records, this must be done in a timely fashion and reported to a supervisor
• Maintain Lifeguard / First Aid / CPR / AED training and to use these skills when necessary
• Attend all mandatory in-service trainings
• Additional responsibilities may be added periodically based upon the needs of the F&W department or the Katz JCC

Required Experience

• American Red Cross Life Guarding certification
• CPR / AED & First Aid certifications
