Job summary

Jay Peak is seeking a lifeguard to monitor activities in swimming areas, enforce safety rules, and assist guests. The role requires strong swimming ability, good communication, and flexible availability including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language skills: Ability to read, write and speak clearly; safety and procedure manuals.
• Mathematical skills: Add/subtract two-digit numbers and use measurements.
• Reasoning: Apply common sense in written or verbal instructions; solve standard problems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool areas to ensure guest safety and prevent accidents.
• Follow the 10/20 scanning rule to recognize and respond to problems quickly.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in waterpark areas; assist guests as needed.
• Perform opening and closing duties and supervise guests during park hours and events.
• Enforce rules and communicate safety concerns to aquatics management.
