Job summary

Villa Sport is seeking a Lifeguard in San Jose, CA to perform lifeguard duties, enforce water safety policies, respond to emergencies, and assist members and guests with needs within role parameters.

Qualifications include lifeguard certification (ARC or Ellis) and swimming proficiency; a high school diploma is preferred. Excellent service and teamwork are essential for success in this fast-paced club environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with aquatics industry.
• Swimming proficiency.
• Minimum of 1 year lifeguarding preferred.
• Current American Red Cross or Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Certification (includes CPR/First Aid/AED).
• Ellis guards must obtain a Red Cross Lifeguard certification within 30 days of hire.
• Understands ARC standards of teamwork, rescue and surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Perform lifeguard duties and enforce water safety policies.
• Prevent and respond to emergencies.
• Act as customer service ambassadors to members and guests within policy.
