Job summary

Villa Sport in Houston, TX is seeking a Lifeguard to safeguard members and guests, enforce water safety policies, and respond to emergencies while serving as a customer service ambassador within the club environment.

Ideal candidates have familiarity with aquatics, swimming proficiency, and current Lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or Ellis & Associates), including CPR/First Aid/AED. Must be 16+, HS diploma preferred, with 1 year lifeguard experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with aquatics industry.
• Swimming proficiency.
• Minimum of 1 year lifeguarding preferred.
• Education/Certification.
• Minimum 16 years of age.
• High School diploma preferred.
• Current American Red Cross or Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Certification (includes CPR/First Aid/AED for the Professional Rescuer) (Ellis guards must obtain a valid Red cross Lifeguard certification within 30 days of hire).
• Understands and can utilize American Red Cross standards of teamwork, rescue and surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Perform lifeguard duties and enforce water safety policies and procedures.
• Prevent and respond to emergencies and act as a customer service ambassador to members and guests.
• Assist with concerns or needs within capabilities and parameters of the position.
