Job Details

Merryhill School is a multi-location school group with campuses in California, Colorado, Nevada, and Texas. We offer private education for preschool, elementary, and middle school students. Position Overview

Lifeguards will ensure a safe and enjoyable environment around the pool during Summer Camp. Needed: March 19th to October 29th. Schedule from March 24th - June 5th: 2:00 - 6:00 pm or 3:00 - 6:00 pm. Starting June 11th: 8-hour days with varying schedules, including 9-6 shifts.

Job Duties

1. Remain stationed at opposite ends or sides of the pool at all times.
2. Follow the 5-5-5 rule: stand for 5 minutes, sit for 5 minutes, walk for 5 minutes.
3. Stay within 1 foot of the pool edge at all times.
4. Maintain visual supervision of all children in the pool area.
5. Lock the pool area when no lifeguard is present.
6. Supervise children during swim classes and lessons.
7. Ensure children are scheduled for swim lessons and are escorted to and from the pool.
8. Start all lessons on time.
9. Ensure lessons are safe, effective, and enjoyable.
10. Arrive on time to meet campers and camp counselors.
11. Ensure children are picked up by their counselors and not left alone.
12. Conduct daily pool chemical checks and record inspections.
13. Check and clear debris from filter traps.
14. Maintain cleanliness of the pool area and remove leftover items.

Required Skills & Experience

1. At least one year of lifeguard experience.
2. Current Lifeguard certification.
3. CPR certification and prior lifeguard experience.
4. Must be 18 years or older.
5. CPO certification is a plus.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Ability to use technology for communication.

Additional Information
