Position: Lifeguard

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain safety by staying stationed at designated pool areas at all times.
2. Follow the 5-5-5 rule: stand for 5 minutes, sit for 5 minutes, walk for 5 minutes.
3. Remain within 1 foot of the pool edge during duty.
4. Supervise children in the pool area visually at all times.
5. Lock the pool area when no lifeguard is present.
6. Supervise children during swim classes and lessons, ensuring safety and fun.
7. Ensure children are scheduled for and brought to/from swim lessons.
8. Start lessons punctually and ensure their effectiveness.
9. Assist camp staff by arriving on time and supervising children entering and leaving the pool area.
10. Monitor and record pool chemical levels daily.
11. Inspect and clear debris from filter traps and pool bottom.
12. Maintain cleanliness of the pool area, removing any left-behind items.

Qualifications:

1. At least one year of lifeguard experience.
2. Valid Lifeguard certification.
3. CPR certification.
4. Must be 18 years or older.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Ability to use technology for communication.
