Job summary

Life Time Inc. is hiring an Aquatics Lifeguard to help oversee indoor and outdoor pools at our California Roseville club. This role emphasizes safety, vigilant surveillance of the pool deck, and excellent guest service.

You will assist with aquatics events like Dive in Movies and Poolapalooza, greet members, and ensure a clean, safe swimming environment. Certification in StarGuard Elite Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid is required.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a High School Diploma or equivalent
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications required
• Ability to communicate with guests about Life Time products and services

You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as "Dive in Movies" & "Poolapalooza."

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first)
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $17.50 and pays up to $20.50, based on experience and qualifications.
