Job summary

Life Time is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard to ensure safety and deliver great service in a fast-paced fitness club environment. You will monitor indoor and outdoor pools, assist with events, and enforce pool rules while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for Members.

Qualified candidates will have StarGuard Elite Lifeguard/BLS CPR/First Aid certification and the ability to swim 300 yards with endurance. This is an hourly role with comprehensive benefits for full-time team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or in progress.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires).
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping and tread water for 1 minute.
• Ability to retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from bottom of pool.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members.
• Rescues swimmers in danger and administers first aid.
• Ensures swimmers are aware of dangerous swim areas and activities.
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure member safety.

You will work in a fast-paced environment and will help to oversee state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoor and out. You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as "Dive in Movies" & "Poolapalooza."

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first)
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $19.00 and pays up to $22.50, based on experience and qualifications.
