Job summary

Life Time is hiring an Aquatics Lifeguard in Westminster, CO. You will oversee indoor/outdoor pools, monitor the pool deck and ensure safety on water slides while delivering outstanding guest service.

Qualified candidates will be able to swim 300 yards, tread water for a minute, and hold StarGuard Elite Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid certifications. This is a benefits-rich, hourly role with opportunities for growth within Life Time.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing High School Diploma or GED.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certification required (or bridge to StarGuard when expiring).
• Ability to communicate with guests about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping and tread water for 1 minute.

You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as "Dive in Movies" & "Poolapalooza".

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first)
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $16.00 and pays up to $19.00, based on experience and qualifications.
