Life Time Inc. in Laguna Niguel, CA is hiring an Aquatics Lifeguard. You will monitor pool safety, assist with events, and deliver excellent member service in a fast-paced aquatic environment.

Required certifications include StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, CPR/BLS and First Aid. High school diploma or GED is required; 300-yard swim and 1-minute treading water capabilities are expected. The role offers hourly pay from $17.50 to $20.50 with benefits.

You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as "Dive in Movies" & "Poolapalooza."

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first)
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $17.50 and pays up to $20.50, based on experience and qualifications.
