Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard to maintain safety around indoor and outdoor pools and assist with water slides. You will monitor the pool deck, uphold safety, and participate in aquatics events such as Dive in Movies and Poolapalooza.

Ideal candidates are safety minded, customer-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced club setting. Certification requirements include StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid, with pay starting at $16.50 per hour and rising to $19.50 based

Qualifications

• Customer service experience and safety-minded approach.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certification required (or cadence to transfer).
• Ability to work in a club environment and communicate with Members.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members.
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid.
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities.
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members.

You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as "Dive in Movies" & "Poolapalooza.".

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first)
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $16.50 and pays up to $19.50, based on experience and qualifications.
