Job summary

Petersburg Family YMCA in Petersburg, Virginia is seeking part-time lifeguards to ensure the safety of members and program participants at our pool. We welcome certified lifeguards or swimmers willing to become lifeguards; training is provided if needed. Morning and afternoon availability is preferred, with a pay range of $15-$17 per hour.

• Monitor activities and prevent unsafe situations.

Job description

The Petersburg Family YMCA is seeking part time enthusiastic community members to help save lives and ensure the safety of patrons at our pool! We are looking for certified lifeguards or swimmers who are interested in becoming lifeguards (we will certify you if you qualify)! Looking for morning and afternoon availability. Pay range for this position is $15-$17 per hour.

Qualified lifeguards will be responsible for the safety of the members and program participants.

QUALIFICATIONS For Lifeguards

Lifeguards must be at least 15 years old and have current CPR, AED, First Aid and either American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard certification. Oxygen Administration (O2) is preferred but not required. The Y will train interested candidates who meet basic swim requirements if not already certified!
