Job Summary

The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of guests and enforcing pool rules within the scope of their certification. The primary focus is guest safety.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Scan the pool area to detect safety concerns and practice preventative lifeguarding.
• Maintain professionalism and relate effectively to guests.
• Communicate clearly with children, parents, and the public; respond promptly to questions and concerns.
• Patrol the pool to maintain cleanliness and perform daily maintenance tasks.
• Assist during swim meets.
• Test and maintain proper chemical and environmental conditions in the pool.

About You

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, including CPR/AED and First Aid.
• Knowledge of accident prevention and response.
• Ability to swim at least 300 yards with strength.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
