Job summary

Summitbsa in Glen Jean, WV, is seeking a dedicated aquatics staff member to provide high‑quality aquatics opportunities for all guests and to foster a fun environment that creates lasting memories. You will teach merit badges and lessons to groups, ensuring engaging instruction for 2–24 youths and maintaining safety throughout activities.

The role includes set‑up/maintenance of program areas, prompt submission of advancement paperwork, providing First Aid as needed, and modeling the Scout Oath

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18+
• Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
• Red Cross Lifeguard certification preferred (training provided)
• Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication

Physical & Practical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, swim, and paddle up to 8 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
• Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
• Housing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55
