Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Chesterfield, MO is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard who is safety minded and customer service oriented to oversee indoor and outdoor pools, monitor decks, and assist with water slides and aquatic events such as Dive in Movies and Poolapalooza.

Responsibilities include greeting members, performing rescues with first aid, enforcing pool safety rules, and keeping the pool area clean. Requires HS diploma or GED and StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR and First Aid certification (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year).
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping and tread water for 1 minute.
• Ability to lift/pull more than 20 lbs as part of routine duties.

You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as "Dive in Movies" & "Poolapalooza."

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first)
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience
