Job summary

Sayres Defense is seeking a Mid-Level Program Logistics & Lifecycle Sustainment Analyst to support Navy program logistics, lifecycle planning, readiness analysis, and strategic budgeting across multiple maritime product lines. The role will work with senior engineers, logisticians, and program managers from development to modernization and end-of-life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Systems Engineering, Business, Public Policy, or related field.
• Approximately five years of relevant DoD Navy lifecycle, logistics, sustainment, or program management experience.
• Foundational knowledge of integrated logistics support and DoD acquisition processes.
• Experience collecting, organizing, and presenting technical, financial, or performance data.
• Ability to prepare professional briefings, reports, spreadsheets, trackers, and decision-support materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support program logistics planning and total lifecycle sustainment activities across multiple products and maritime platforms.
• Assist with developing, maintaining, and executing Lifecycle Management Plans (LCMPs) and related sustainment strategies.
• Coordinate sustainment inputs, including maintenance concepts, spares planning, supply support, and configuration management.
• Collect and analyze information related to fleet readiness, system availability, maintenance requirements, sustainment costs, and total ownership costs.
• Track readiness drivers, obsolescence risks, sustainment requirements, and key performance indicators throughout the product lifecycle.
• Maintain lifecycle data, schedules, trackers, reports, and supporting documentation per NAVSEA requirements.
• Assist senior team members with identifying lifecycle risks, evaluating alternatives, and developing mitigation strategies.
• Support POM cycle preparations, data calls, funding alignment, and capability trade analyses.
• Gather, organize, validate, and maintain data supporting budget and requirements submissions.
