Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis seeks a Lifecycle Engineer for the Civil Mature Engines fleet to provide engineering support for AE 3007, AE 2100A, and RB211-535. You’ll answer day-to-day questions, work with maintenance centers, lead in-service investigations, and track fleet reliability with potential <10% travel.

Qualifications

• Experience in troubleshooting and/or problem resolution
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), project and time management skills
• Proficient at writing technical reports and customer presentations
• Adept with Teamcenter

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead cross-functional teams consisting of internal design, failure analysis, and customer services personnel to achieve timely investigation and resolution of gas turbine engine hardware issues, including communicating status to customers
• Understand and monitor fleet reliability characteristics and coordinate with Service Engineering, Customer Managers, MRO Engineering, and airline customers to resolve technical issues
• Participate in product level safety board reviews and in-service reviews with regulatory and airworthiness authorities
• Provide engineering support at overhaul facilities and customer sites as required and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies throughout the engine product lifecycle
• Initiate technical publications changes required to support Rolls-Royce gas turbine engines, including Service Bulletins, Engine Maintenance Manual, Engine Manual, Aircraft Maintenance Manual, and Fault Isolation Manual revisions
