Job Description

We’re looking for aLifecycle Automation Specialistwho brings a passion for building and delivering an amazing customer experience through email, push and sms channels. This is a fast-paced, critical role, which encompasses end-to-end campaign development, management and execution on CRM campaigns across all our targetable channels. The ideal candidate is a lifecycle marketing professional who has hands-on skills & expertise with Email Service Providers and features like journey builders, personalization tools and customer segmentation. You have a keen ability to understand business requirements and deliver flawless execution. This role reports to the Sr Lifecycle Manager, is full time and remote. While remote, this role may travel up less than 5% of the time.


The base salary range for this position is between 90,000 and 100,000. At Madison Reed, we aim to pay competitively. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.


Responsibilities:

  • Help facilitate the automation and operations for our robust CRM marketing program, partnering with lifecycle marketing team members, and cross functional teams.
  • Partner with Lifecycle Marketing Automation Lead to to support the development of batch and lifecycle campaigns (email, SMS and push channels) to drive revenue and member growth.
  • Partner with Lifecycle Marketing Automation Lead, engineering, and analytics to help project manage key automation projects, new product launches, feature rollouts, membership and subscription enhancements, and more; ensuring data and other relevant criteria is met.
  • Perform end-to-end email, SMS and/or push campaign production including coding dynamic, personalized emails in HTML, setting-up/editing multiple channels within a deployment, recommending and/or refining targeting segmentation, developing schedules, recommending optimization rules, auditing waterfalls produced by peers, and conducting pre-deployment checks.
  • Architect and execute A/B tests in batch campaigns and automated workflows, reporting on test results, significance, and recommendations.
  • Proactively identify optimizations and opportunities in lifecycle journeys that help achieve the goals of the Retention/ Lifecycle team.
  • Participate in Creative review/ copyproofing and promotional testing to ensure that copy and design meet template specs and will render well across inbox providers and devices.
  • Pull performance reports for each campaign, monitoring main KPIs and sharing insights with key stakeholders, staying close to benchmarks.
  • As needed, partner with CRM strategy peers to compose detailed creative briefs that clearly communicate business objectives and best practices. Manage feedback routing with key stakeholders to create compelling marketing assets.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ total years of marketing experience; including 3+ years of experience in email marketing, with hands-on production including HTML coding, automated customer journeys, A/B testing and audience queries.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience using an in-house ESP (i.e. Iterable, Braze, Klayvio). Experience using Iterable a plus.
  • Working knowledge of email best practices such as creative and coding for mobile vs desktop, differences across inbox providers.
  • Knowledge of email performance metrics and calculations. Comfortable pulling data. Experience with Looker is helpful.
  • Knowledge of CAN-SPAM, CCPA, CASL laws and compliance.
  • Proven ownership of campaign execution — You take full accountability for managing lifecycle campaigns from end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery, flawless QA, and continuous optimization. You’re highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable managing a high-volume campaign calendar. Experience with project management tools such as Jira is a plus.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and follow-through — You take initiative, communicate proactively, and see projects through to completion. You hold yourself accountable for outcomes, not just tasks.
  • A collaborative mindset — You thrive in cross-functional environments, partnering with developers, engineers, business stakeholders, creative teams, and more. You’re a clear communicator who works well across disciplines and adapts your approach to different audiences.
  • Curiosity and a problem-solving spirit — You’re naturally inquisitive, unafraid to ask questions, and quick to dig into how our ESP and data architecture function.
