Job summary

The Dallastown Area School District seeks a Full-Time - 10 Month Life Skills Support Personal Care Assistant Paraprofessional at Leaders Heights Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year.

The ideal candidate will support an assigned student under the supervision of a special education teacher, helping implement IEPs, instructional activities, and classroom accommodations while promoting student success and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and completion of an assessment by the special education department.
• Completion of at least 20 hours of staff development activities related to assignment each school year.
• Ability to carry out oral and written communications/instructions and work cooperatively with others.
• Acceptable record of attendance.

Responsibilities

• Support an assigned student with IEP goals and access to the educational environment.
• Assist teachers in presentation and development of learning materials and instructional exercises.
• Perform routine clerical work.
• Work with instructional media, office machines, and equipment.
