Job summary

Donegal School District is seeking a Life Skills Support Paraprofessional to assist teachers at Donegal Junior High School and Donegal High School. This is a part-time, 10-month position with 5.5 hours per day, following the student schedule.

Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, supporting teachers’ directions, supervising students, and performing clerical tasks while maintaining confidentiality and professional interaction with staff.

Qualifications

• Requires understanding of school processes and prior experience with students.
• Must have completed at least two years of post-secondary education or an associate degree or equivalent demonstrated by state/local assessment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares learning/instructional materials for teacher and student use.
• Carries out teachers’ directions with instructional support for students.
• Monitors and assists individual students as required.
• Performs clerical duties as assigned.
• Monitors student behavior during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Monitors environment and reports problems to staff.
• Maintains confidentiality and respectful relations with staff.
