Job summary

CONCORD COMMUNITY SCHOOLS seeks a Life Skills Special Education Paraprofessional at Concord High School to support students with moderate to severe disabilities in a Life Skills program. You will assist with IEP implementations, adaptive and daily living skills, communication and behavior supports, and provide supervision across classroom and community settings.

The role requires following teacher directions, maintaining student dignity and confidentiality, and collaborating with licensed staff

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with disabilities, particularly those with cognitive, communication, behavioral, adaptive, or physical support needs.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions and implement instructional and safety procedures.
• Strong communication, dependability, organization, cooperation, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional and classroom support to students with moderate to severe disabilities.
• Implement instructional activities and supports identified in IEPs.
• Assist students with functional academics, communication, social interaction, daily living skills, and independence.
• Support student personal care needs and mobility as needed.
• Collaborate with licensed staff to ensure consistent implementation of supports.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and follow safety procedures.
