Job summary

Central York School District is seeking a dedicated and reliable full-time Special Education Instructional Assistant/Personal Care Assistant to join our Middle School team. You will support students in academic instruction, social development, and personal care in the Life Skills classroom under the guidance of teachers and support staff.

This role offers 7.00 hours per day, 186 days per year, with opportunities to contribute to a collaborative educational team.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher required.
• Two years of post-secondary study (48 credits) required.
• Credential of Competency Assessment required or demonstrated.
• Valid PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Background Checks within last 12 months.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification based on assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students, and/or a specific student or group as assigned.
• Assist students with IEPs, monitor behavior, re-teach material, and assist with homework and tasks.
• Prepare students for quizzes and tests under IEP guidelines.
• Attend IEP and team meetings as required.
• Assist with learning activities, provide one-on-one support, and collect data.

Education
