Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
• Must meet one or more: AA/AS or higher; 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits; or passing paraeducator assessment.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction and behavior interventions using ABA techniques as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Facilitate expressive and receptive communication using AAC devices and other tools under guidance.
• Follow behavior support plan and CPI techniques to ensure safety and student regulation.
• Deliver one-on-one or small group instruction and monitor student engagement.
• Administer first aid for emergencies.
• Assist with needs related to working with special needs students (diapering, feeding, toileting, etc.).
• Provide supervision during arrivals/departures, meals, recess, and transitions.
• Prepare materials for lessons and assist with classroom setup.
• Maintain student records in the SIS and translate information when needed.

Skills
