Job summary

Southridge High School in Kennewick, WA seeks a Para/SS/LifeSkills paraeducator to support students with special needs in life skills settings and related classes.

You will work with the special education teacher and team, performing instructional support, documentation, health-related tasks as trained, and supervision across the school day. Starting immediately, hours are 6.5 per day, 180 days per year, with a wage of $23.15–$26.65 per hour and an extra $0.60/hour for college credits.

Qualifications

• Must uphold board policies and follow admin procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to life skills student(s) under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher(s).
• Follow prescribed data collection, classroom rules, and student directives.
• Take required paperwork and monitor student progress data accurately.
• Assist with health needs of students and documentation as trained.
• Supervise students during recess/PE and support specialists as needed.
• Perform duties within Kennewick School District policies and procedures.
