Snohomish School District is seeking a paraeducator to support students with physical or behavioral needs and assist with individualized and small group instruction at Glacier Peak High School.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers to implement accommodations and provide academic support, behavior management, and independence fostering. Scheduling follows a 9-month year with district-wide responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one of the listed criteria.
• Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher.
• Passed one of the following Professional Educator Standards Board approved assessments: ETS ParaPro, Para Pathways, Pearson Paraprofessional, Master Teacher Paraeducator.
• Upon hire, must complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate.
• Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.

Responsabilités

• Provide individualized and small group instructional support to students.
• Assist students with IEP goals and access to education through academic support, behavior management and fostering independence.
• Support students with academic tasks and collaboration with teachers to implement accommodations.
• Work with staff to adapt and reassign support based on current needs and teacher discretion.
