Job summary

Flathead Industries is seeking compassionate individuals to become DSPs (Life Mentors) for people with disabilities. You will provide care, supervision, and guidance in a group day supports setting at the Life Skills Center, reporting to the Life Skills Program Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of occupationally-specific training.
• 6 months experience in working with adults with developmental disabilities or similar field.
• Valid Montana driver's license, good driving record, and insurability for operation of company vehicles.
• Ability to pass criminal and other background checks.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, consumers, family members, medical professionals and community members.
• Ability to lift, move, or handle items weighing 50 pounds.
• Proficiency with computer software and basic IT tasks.
• Ability to write clearly and speak in public.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, supervision and training for consumers within the Group Day Supports and Activities Program at the Life Skills Center.
• Work in a team setting and report to the Life Skills Program Manager.
• Support people with developmental disabilities in daily activities and programs.

Requirements
