Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Subcontracts Manager for Life Sciences North America in Houston, TX. You will contract major construction services for large Projects and lead a team of Subcontract Administrators on projects valued from $200M to $750M, aligning with client relationships and strategic business needs.

The role reports to the Director of Subcontracts and involves developing SMEP sections, supervising procurement teams, and ensuring invoice compliance under subcontract terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business, construction, supply chain, or operations management, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 10+ years of experience in an EPCM construction contracting environment.
• Experience in Biopharmaceutical/Life Science Manufacturing Projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a Subcontracts Lead, develop upfront Procurement planning activities such as the Subcontracting section of the SMEP, establishing Subcontracting Strategies, and developing project-specific templates, reports and tools.
• As a Subcontracts Lead, manage the activities of a team of subcontract administrators and other supporting procurement functions.
• As Subcontracts Lead, use critical thinking and problem solving to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Project's Subcontracting efforts.
• Utilizes established policies, procedures, systems, and tools
• Coordinates the procurement of subcontracted services and administers Procurement Agreements and change orders to accomplish project or group objectives and obligations
• Reviews subcontracts-related invoices and ensures that invoices are approved in accordance with terms and conditions agreed within the subcontract
