Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in the United States seeks a Solutions Design Manager for the AFR Team to lead end-to-end Life Sciences & Healthcare logistics design, governance, and execution.

You will partner with Commercial leadership, drive profitability, ensure regulatory compliance (GxP, GDP, IATA), and guide cross-functional teams through large-scale customer implementations, while shaping regional strategy and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Life Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
• 10+ years in Life Sciences & Healthcare logistics or solution design.
• Minimum 5 years leading teams in a matrix organization.
• Extensive experience designing complex global logistics solutions for pharma/healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of GDP, GxP, IATA, regulatory compliance, cold chain, and quality systems.
• Proven success leading strategic customer pursuits and complex implementations.
• Experience managing executive-level customer relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen with pricing, financial modeling, investment analysis, and P&L.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Life Sciences & Healthcare solution design strategy and governance.
• Provide executive leadership in pricing governance and profitability.
• Oversee solution design across Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Customs, Warehousing, and IL services.
• Establish standards and best practices for solution design across the organization.
• Sponsor continuous improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional teams supporting large customer implementations.
• Partner with commercial leadership to develop growth strategies.
• Represent DHL at executive meetings and conferences.
