Job summary

Leica Biosystems in the Chicago area is seeking a Project Manager, Global Logistics to lead cross‑functional global logistics initiatives that improve distribution effectiveness, service levels, and customer experience.

You will drive disciplined execution, coordinate internal teams and external vendors, and prepare dashboards and recommendations for senior operations and supply chain leaders. Travel about 25% including international.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in operations, engineering, business, or related discipline with 5+ years of logistics experience.
• Experience leading structured process improvement initiatives within logistics, distribution, or supply chain functions.
• Proficiency with project management and reporting tools and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead global logistics process improvement initiatives from planning through implementation, partnering with regional and functional stakeholders.
• Drive execution rigor across global teams and external logistics vendors through clear milestones, disciplined follow‑up, and timely escalation to ensure commitments are met.
• Coordinate internal working teams and external logistics partners to standardize logistics and distribution processes across regions and sites.
• Partner with logistics and business leaders to identify improvement opportunities, define success measures, and track progress against outcomes.
• Prepare concise project updates, dashboards, and recommendations for senior operations and supply chain leadership.
