The Life Sciences Sales Executive for Leica Biosystems is responsible for developing and executing successful sales strategies for rapid revenue growth and market share expansion in the territory. This position is part of the Life Sciences Commercial Team located in DMV/Southeast region and will be remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of the Life Sciences Commercial Team and report to the Sales Manager responsible for driving new growth in your assigned territory, selling our Advanced Staining, Digital Pathology, and Core Histology product lines into life science research labs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Achieve annual product sales goals set for the territory, working proactively with territory and regional teams, and maintain accurate opportunity funnel and customer data in SFDC independently.
  • Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through sales and support assistance, and independently coordinate and perform product demos, installs, and customer training.
  • Sell our Advanced Staining, Digital Pathology, and Core Histology product lines into life science research labs in government, biotech, large pharma, and other research institutes within the territory.
  • Manage key accounts and drive sales of Leica Biosystems platforms and workflows across all verticals, working with product specialists and application scientists. Drive prospective and current customers to increase Leica Biosystems' influence and presence, utilizing awareness of competitive activities and strategies, including conducting independent product presentations (hands-on if applicable).
  • Utilize continuous process improvement through Danaher Business Systems to increase sales and manage key accounts. Demonstrate the ability to comprehend scientific applications and markets.
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
  • Five or more years of professional sales experience for life sciences consumables or equipment used in spatial biology/histology, including tissue samples, staining, digital pathology, etc.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in a scientific discipline is preferred.
  • Proven contract negotiation and high-level selling experience to research institutions, government (NIH), academic communities, and clinical/lab settings.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment and experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software.
  • Must reside in the Eastern US; North Carolina RTP, DC, Maryland, or Virginia preferred.
Travel And Motor Vehicle Record
  • Must be able to travel 50-75% of the time, including overnight stays where applicable.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's license.

Leica Biosystems offers flexible, remote working arrangements where eligible, along with a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k). The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $140,000, potentially supplemented with bonus/incentive pay. Additional details about remote work arrangements will be provided during the interview process.
