Job summary

TAI is seeking a Division Manager to lead the Process Engineering - Life Sciences Division. You will guide engineers and designers, oversee complex projects, and drive growth while ensuring GMP compliance and quality.

The role blends technical direction with organizational leadership and client relations. Ideal candidates have an extensive background in life sciences process engineering, pharma manufacturing, and regulatory standards, with strong mentoring and business development skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in biotechnology or similar focus preferred.
  • Professional Engineering Licensure.
  • NCEES Model Law Engineer preferred.
  • NCEES Records holder preferred.
  • Minimum 13 years of process engineering experience in life sciences/pharma.
  • Minimum 5 years of design experience in a consulting firm.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing PFDs, P&ID’s, equipment and piping specifications.
  • Ability to act as SME for life sciences process/utility systems.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical process validation and quality control preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and work in the office at least two days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage divisional operations, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and policies.
  • Provide strong leadership and deep, practical process life sciences and GMP process engineering knowledge.
  • Drive results and follow established fundamental processes.
  • Responsible for quality, budget, and schedule performance of divisional operations.
  • Staff management, engagement, training, mentoring and career growth.
  • Responsible for project resource management and ensuring teams are staffed with qualified personnel.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality control policies are adhered to.
  • Conduct annual and quarterly employee reviews and HR documentation.
  • Business development support, including site walks and engineering design scope and fee development for pharmaceutical manufacturing opportunities.
  • Relationship management of existing clients.
  • Collaborate with other division managers for engineering processes and standards.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for life sciences process/utility systems.
  • Research applicable regulatory codes and industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed engineering analyses, studies, and reports.
