Job summary

GBA is seeking a Process Engineer Intern (Life Sciences) in Broomfield, CO. The role offers hands-on work on process, utility, equipment, and construction projects within the Life Sciences group serving top bio-pharma clients.

You will perform mass and energy balances and help develop equipment specs while interacting with vendors and contributing to design documentation. This summer internship emphasizes teamwork and exposure to pharmaceutical facilities and labs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Must have completed at least 3 years of collegiate education.
• Interest working in a collaborative team environment.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
• Previous internships are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mass and energy balances, and heating, cooling and flow calculations.
• Provide research and assistance to develop equipment and instrumentation specifications.
• Interact with vendors to specify, select, and develop procurement details for equipment and instrumentation.
• Develop draft User Requirement Specifications
• Prepare equipment spec sheets
• Develop draft Flow Diagrams and P&ID’s
• Observe construction projects to ensure designs are met
• Other duties as assigned.
