Location:

Duties:
Draft and prosecute patent applications in life sciences and biotechnology-related fields
Engage directly with inventors and clients on patent strategies
Conduct prior art research and analysis
Respond to USPTO Office Actions
Advise on IP protection strategies for technologies involving AI and computational biology
Collaborate with legal teams and technical experts on complex IP matters
Prepare detailed technical writing, including patent documentation and client communications
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in patent prosecution
Expertise in bioinformatics, computational biology, artificial intelligence, or similar areas
Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organization
Willingness to work on-site in one of the specified office locations
Transcripts and writing samples will be required during the application process
Education:
Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, AI, or related discipline
Certifications:
USPTO Registration required
Attorney candidates must be licensed in the state corresponding to their preferred office location
Skills:
Strong foundation in both biological sciences and software-based technologies
