Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and prosecute U.S. patent applications related to biotech, pharma, and medical devices

• Coordinate with foreign counsel on global IP filings and portfolio strategy

• Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and due diligence analyses

• Advise on IP asset development, protection, and enforcement strategy

• Liaise with clients, technical experts, and stakeholders to align legal and scientific objectives

• Support transactional IP work and collaborative R&D agreements

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of patent prosecution experience, preferably in a law firm or in-house setting

• Ph.D. in a life sciences field (e.g., molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences)

• Admission to the USPTO (or eligibility to sit for the Patent Bar)

• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar

• Strong communication and technical writing skills

• Understanding of both U.S. and international IP systems

• Background in mechanical or electrical technologies is a plus
