Job summary

EY seeks a Manager in Supply Chain Manufacturing for Life Sciences to lead technology-enabled transformation workstreams improving plant performance, quality, compliance, and supply reliability. The role blends practical manufacturing with digital, data, AI, and delivery skills in regulated environments.

You will work with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical-device manufacturers to guide workstreams from assessment through design, implementation, testing, adoption, and stabilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, manufacturing, supply chain, information systems, or related
• At least 7 years of relevant Life Sciences manufacturing, manufacturing technology, operational excellence, or AI experience
• Experience leading a client-facing manufacturing or digital workstream through design and at least one deployment phase
• Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical-device regulated environments
• Ability to translate needs into process and data deliverables and coordinate contributors
• Knowledge of GxP, data integrity, validation, and change control requirements
• Willingness to travel, up to 80–100%

Responsibilities

• Lead client-facing workstreams in Life Sciences manufacturing transformation with ownership of plans and outcomes
• Assess current-state production and quality processes, data flows, and site constraints
• Translate priorities into functional designs, acceptance criteria, and measurable improvements
• Develop functional designs for batch execution, electronic batch records, and related capabilities
• Coordinate across MES/MOM, ERP, LIMS, QMS, historians, SCADA, DCS/PLC, and cloud/edge platforms
• Define data mappings, master data needs, interface specs, and data-quality controls
• Support analytics and AI use cases by assessing data readiness and workflow fit
• Ensure validation, data integrity, and change-control requirements are reflected in workstream deliverables
• Oversee configuration, testing, deployment readiness, training, cutover, and handover
• Facilitate cross-functional sessions with manufacturing, quality, IT, OT, and vendors
• Manage scope, schedule, resources, quality, risks; contribute to proposals and follow-on opportunities
• Coach junior team members and capture reusable requirements and patterns
