Job summary

Inductive Automation LLC is seeking an Industry Principal – Life Sciences to own the vertical strategy and drive end-to-end execution across pharma, biotech, and medical device operators and their partners. Remote-based with heavy travel.

You will define TAM/SAM, develop pipeline, manage executive relationships, and translate industry needs into product input with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required; advanced degree or PE is a plus.
• At least 10 years in technical business development, solutions architecture, or strategic sales, with 5+ years in life sciences.
• Proven software industry experience with industrial controls and SCADA platforms.
• Strong network of senior life sciences contacts across manufacturers, EPCs, OEMs, and integrators.
• Track record of carrying and exceeding strategic revenue targets in complex sales.
• Understanding of regulatory standards (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5) and validated workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own life sciences vertical strategy and annual operating plan in coordination with leadership.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of pharma, biotech, medical device, and CDMO opportunities.
• Develop executive relationships with operators, EPCs, OEMs, and integrators.
• Define TAM/SAM and competitive position within life sciences.
• Translate operator requirements into product input with Product Management and Engineering.
• Manage direct book of strategic accounts to meet revenue targets.
• Provide deal support, technical positioning, and coaching to sales and channel teams.
• Lead industry presence at ISPE, Interphex, BIO and other conferences; speak and brief executives.
• Partner with Marketing on vertical content; support events and digital presence.
