Job summary

Mentor Technical Group is seeking an experienced Utilities Operations Lead to supervise and coordinate plant utilities staff across steam, water, chilled water, and compressed air systems. You will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations in a regulated environment.

The role requires 5+ years in plant utilities with 3+ years of team leadership, solid CMMS experience, and strong OSHA knowledge. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are essential to maintain service quality

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering required.
At least five (5) years in plant utilities operations within regulated industries (pharma, biotech, medical devices).
At least three (3) years leading teams.
Strong CMMS and work management knowledge.
Strong OSHA safety knowledge and practical application.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Direct supervision and coordination of utilities operators, installers and mechanics.
Monitor safety and ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.
Manage performance and provide feedback to staff.
Coordinate material requisitions and parts inventory.
Interpret specifications and blueprints for workflows and layouts.
Provide technical support to ensure timely, cost-effective operations.
Develop and maintain client relationships and project status communication.
