Job summary

Accenture is seeking an operations and logistics engineer to redesign distribution centers, optimize material flow, and lead capital programs. You will translate operational insight into financial value and work across regulated environments to deliver ROIs.

You will build simulation models, collaborate with IT and Quality teams, and develop readiness plans to sustain performance in client programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics engineering with direct accountability for outcomes.
• Experience redesigning live DC operations, improving throughput, reducing cost, and implementing change.
• Experience designing new or expanded DC facilities with floorplan and automation integration.
• Regulated industry exposure (life sciences/pharma/cGMP) and FDA/EMA familiarity.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 12 years).

Responsibilities

• Lead operational assessment and redesign engagements for life sciences and regulated DCs.
• Design future-state DC layouts and material handling strategies, quantify ROI.
• Build and run simulation models and analyses to validate design decisions.
• Lead capital project workstreams, milestones, commissioning, vendor coordination, regulatory readiness.
• Partner with IT, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory to ensure integrated solutions.
• Develop readiness plans, staffing models, and KPI frameworks for go-live.
• Apply data analytics to surface opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to business development with credible operational stories.
