Job summary

Accenture is seeking an operations and logistics engineer to lead redesigns of life sciences and regulated distribution centers in California. You will drive material flow improvements, automate with AS/RS and AMR tech, and collaborate with IT, Quality, and Regulatory teams to ensure compliant, efficient solutions.

Travel up to 100% may be required. The role requires 3+ years in warehouse or logistics engineering, plus experience with cGMP environments and capital project management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics engineering.
• Experience optimizing brownfield DC operations: redesigning flow, improving throughput, reducing cost in live environments.
• Experience designing new or expanded DC facilities with floorplan development and automation integration.
• Life sciences/pharma or regulated industry experience in cGMP environments with FDA/EMA exposure.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 12 years of work experience (or 6 years with an associate degree).

Responsibilities

• Lead operational assessment and redesign engagements for life sciences and regulated distribution centers.
• Design future-state DC layouts and material handling strategies and quantify ROI.
• Build and run simulation models to validate design decisions and support capital prioritization.
• Lead capital project workstreams including milestones, commissioning activities, and vendor coordination.
• Partner with client IT, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams to ensure compliant, integrated solutions.
• Develop readiness plans, staffing models, and KPI frameworks to sustain performance post go-live.
