Job summary

DCI Donor Services in Knoxville is seeking a Surgical Recovery Coordinator (Surgical Technologist) to oversee renal preservation, coordination with transplant teams, and organ distribution for transplantation and research. You will participate in on-call activities and assist in fly-outs/backs while ensuring policy compliance.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 1–2 years OPO/health care experience, ISOP Level 1, and solid computer/MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years OPO or health care experience required; OR OR operating room experience.
• ISOP Level 1 certification by completion of year one.
• Working knowledge of computers and basic data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Assumes primary responsibility for renal preservation processes and transport.
• Performs on-call duties to support donor recovery activities.
• Coordinates surgical recovery, preservation and packaging with surgeons and coordinators.
• Manages organ allocation logistics including kidney and liver placement.
