Job summary

DCI Donor Services, Inc. in Knoxville is seeking a Surgical Recovery Coordinator (Surgical Technologist) to support the recovery, preservation, packaging and distribution of organs in collaboration with transplant surgeons and organ recovery coordinators.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 1–2 years of OPO or health care experience, OR experience preferred, and ISOP Level 1 certification by the end of year one; strong computer and MS Office/data-entry skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years OPO or health care experience required; operating room experience preferred.
• ISOP Level 1 certification by end of first year.
• Working knowledge of computers and data entry; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assumes primary responsibility for renal preservation processes and transport under policy.
• Performs on-call activities to support donor recovery operations.
• Coordinates surgical recovery, preservation, and packaging of organs with surgeons and coordinators.
• Arranges fly outs/fly backs and supports organ allocation logistics.
