Job summary

DCI Donor Services, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Recovery Coordinator to join our Nashville team. The role focuses on renal preservation, coordinating the surgical recovery and packaging of organs, and supporting organ allocation in collaboration with transplant surgeons.

The ideal candidate has healthcare experience, OR exposure, and comfort with data entry and MS Office. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and the chance to impact lives through organ donation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent mandatory; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years OPO or health care experience required, operating room experience preferred.
• Healthcare certification and ISOP Level 1 by year 1 completion.

Responsibilities

• Assumes primary responsibility for renal preservation processes, including pumping and pump transport.
• Performs extensive on-call responsibilities for donor recovery activities.
• Coordinates surgical recovery, preservation, and packaging of organs and specimens with transplant teams.
• Coordinates fly outs and fly backs.
• Assists with organ allocation, kidney and liver placement, distribution, and transportation.
