Job summary

DCI Donor Services, Inc. in Knoxville is seeking a Surgical Recovery Coordinator (surgical technologist) to lead renal preservation, packaging, and distribution of organs in coordination with transplant teams.

The role requires 1–2 years in OPO or health care, a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), and ISOP Level 1 certification within the first year. Proficiency with MS Office and data entry is expected. Join a mission-driven team saving lives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years OPO or health care experience required.
• ISOP Level 1 certification by completion of the first year.
• Working knowledge of computers and MS Office and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Assumes primary responsibility for the renal preservation process including pumping and pump transport.
• Performs extensive on-call responsibilities to assist with donor recovery activities.
• Coordinates and assists in the surgical recovery, preservation, and packaging of organs with transplant surgeons and/or organ recovery coordinators.
• Coordinates and assists with fly outs and fly backs.
• Coordinates and assists with organ allocation, including kidney and liver placement, distribution, and transportation of organs for transplantation and/or research.
