Job summary

Tennessee Donor Services (TDS) is seeking an Organ Recovery Coordinator to lead organ donation activities in the Knoxville area. The candidate should be an experienced ICU/critical care RN and be prepared to work with hospital teams to expedite organ recovery and transplantation.

Key duties include evaluating donor suitability, coordinating organ placement, and supporting donor families while maintaining EMR updates. A passion for saving lives and strong multitasking abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Two plus years prior experience in a critical care setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consulting with medical staff.
• Coordinate organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
• Assist in surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management including logistics and specimen preparation.
• Provide support to donor families and conduct medical/social history interviews.
• Update donor information into electronic medical records.
