Job summary

Nebraska Medicine in Omaha seeks a Liver Transplant Coordinator Nurse to manage and coordinate all aspects of care for patients undergoing liver transplants. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8am–4:30pm, and requires a BSN, RN license in Nebraska or a compact state, and BLS certification.

You will work with surgeons, hepatologists, and social workers to educate patients, schedule transplant-related procedures, monitor status, and provide emotional support to patients and families

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years nursing or direct patient care experience with complex patients.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 transitional quality patient care for transplant patients and educate for transplant population.
• Coordinate transplant-related procedures and monitor patient status in a multidisciplinary team.
• Advocate for patients within the healthcare system and community.
