Job summary

LifeLink Foundation seeks a Family Care Coordinator to support organ and tissue donation processes. You will coordinate referrals with hospital and LifeLink staff to assess donor suitability, conduct family discussions, and document authorization, while participating in a 24/7 call rotation.

The role emphasizes compassionate engagement with families, adherence to recovery policies, and collaboration with hospital partners to honor donors and support transplant patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in a related field and experience in a medical or social services setting.
• Clinical experience is a plus.
• Medical degree/certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referrals with hospital and LifeLink staff to evaluate potential donors.
• Participate in 24/7 call schedule to ensure coverage.
• Assist with authorization, family interview, and donor designation processes.
• Initiate donor charts and collect serology testing materials as needed.
• Provide follow-up with families and hospital staff.
