Job summary

LifeLink Foundation is seeking a Family Care Coordinator in Savannah, GA to support organ and tissue donation processes. The role requires coordinating hospital referrals, evaluating donor suitability, and communicating with families with compassion and professionalism.

We value teamwork and 24/7 availability; travel may be required. A minimum of two years in a related medical or social services field is expected, with a preference for additional clinical credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in a related field and appropriate experience in a medical environment or social services field.
• Medical degree/certification a preferred.
• Current driver license with good verifiable driving record.
• Availability to handle rotation of 24/7 call responsibilities and potential travel.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Family Care Coordinator (FCC) call schedule coordinating FCC responsibilities with other vascular coordinator staff.
• Referral, pre-authorization and authorization duties including evaluation, suitability, and notifying next-of-kin.
• Post-authorization follow-up with families and hospital staff.
• Case initiation: start donor chart and obtain blood/serology samples.
