Job summary

Live On Nebraska is seeking a Clinical Coordinator with a background in critical care or emergency medicine to drive the organ donation process from donor assessment to organ recovery. This role involves coordinating with donor hospitals across Nebraska, leading allocation discussions, and ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant in the EMR system.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN), Respiratory Therapist (RT), and EMT, or prior clinical experience in an OPO.
• Critical care or emergency care experience required.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications (or ability to obtain).
• Familiarity with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Live within the Omaha Metro area

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire organ donation process from initial donor assessment to organ recovery.
• Coordinate hospital collaborations across Nebraska to optimize donor management.
• Lead allocation huddles and coordinate surgeon travel.
• Oversee documentation and compliance throughout pre-recovery and recovery.
• Maintain precise billing and documentation records and communicate with families.
