Job summary

Vitalant is hiring a Hospital Distribution Technician to support a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will process hospital blood orders, prepare products, and ensure accuracy and safety in a regulated setting.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and strong customer service as you coordinate with drivers and hospital staff to meet patient needs. Schedule is Mon-Fri with potential on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record (except PA).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process and confirm routine and urgent blood product orders from hospitals and healthcare facilities, providing professional customer service and timely responses.
• Select, verify, prepare, package and distribute blood products with high accuracy and documentation.
• Monitor, store, rotate and track blood product inventory and supplies.
• Use computer systems and internal software to process orders, document transactions, manage inventory and maintain compliance.
